In the TV documentary Fourth Reich I act as expedition chief down the ratline taken by fugitive Nazis from Germany to the port of Genoa in Italy, where they boarded passenger ships to safety across the Atlantic. In this extract from Rise of the Fourth Reich I walk the Brenner Pass between Austria and Italy, the same route that criminals such as Adolf Eichmann and Josef Mengele took in their escape from justice.

I took along my pocket camera to the filming in Austria and Italy. For once I got to be behind, rather than just in front of the lens. Here is my backstage vision of Fourth Reich.
